   Cause of her death was cerebral hemorrage.

At the time of her death, Emma had 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. The pallbearers at her funeral were Elmer Hinz, Lester Ott, Arno Ortlepp, Alfred Koch, Clarence Nysse and Wilbur Schnuell. All were her nephews on the Ortlepp side, except Clarence Nysse who is the husband of Emma 's niece, Elvira.
